Add More Adventure to your Life
Volume 1 Issue 10 December 1, 2003
Idea for
the week:
Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but
their echoes are truly endless.
--Mother Theresa
How many kind words can you speak
each day throughout this week?
How many people will you speak them to?
I invite you to echo endlessly this
week and
speak as many kind words to as many people as
you
come in contact with.
Feature Article:
Peace and Joy
Creating peace and joy around the holidays is
so much more adventurous and fun than stress and
burnout.
Here are some ways to create that
peace and joy for yourself and allow it to spill
over to those around you. When you are living
from what you want and experiencing peace and
joy, others will be naturally drawn to wondering
how and why you are doing this. Share with them
your choices, empowering them to do the same.
1. Spend time asking yourself what
you most value about this time of year.
Is it?
a) spending time with family?
b) gift giving and receiving?
c) the meaning of whatever holiday you celebrate?
d) other ________________
2. Write down some adjectives that describe how
you want to feel.
3. Decide on a time budget.
a) How much time for yourself – to relax
and enjoy the season?
b) How much time for writing cards/letters?
c) How much time buying/making gifts?
d) How much travel time with visiting family/friends?
e) How much time preparing food?
4. Decide on a financial budget (if it’s
not already too late!)
a) for gifts
b) for food
c) for travel
5. Choose to do the things that
will bring you most peace and joy and let go of
others’ expectations.
6. Find out what others really want
around you, by asking rather than assuming you
already know – you may be surprised that
it is different than you think.
I invite you to explore how you can experience
more peace and joy this holiday season by participating
in a no obligation complimentary coaching session

Synchronicity.
My week has been filled with incredible synchronicities
– from calling someone who was about to
call me, to finding that I had air miles to attend
a conference that I was not going to this year
and everything in between. I have been amazed
at how Life has supported, encouraged and evoked
me to play as big as I dare by the kind words
of others and the love all around me.
Take time to notice the synchronicities in your
life.
Warmly,
Barbara.
